Caterpillar Room
In the Caterpillars Room (0–2 years), our youngest learners are welcomed into a warm and nurturing environment where they can feel safe and supported. Our program focuses on building strong, secure relationships while fostering early development through sensory play, gentle exploration, and activities that build fine and gross motor skills. Daily routines like feeding, nappy changes, and rest times are carried out with care and consistency, helping each child feel confident and comfortable as they learn and grow at their own pace.
Butterfly Room
The 3–5 years space is designed to spark creativity and foster independence. Here, children engage in structured and unstructured activities that promote early literacy, numeracy, social interaction, and problem-solving. Programs align with the Early Years Learning Framework and support a smooth transition to primary school, blending playful learning with emotional resilience and self-regulation skills.
Schoolies
Earth Angels' outdoor classroom is more than just a playground — it’s a dynamic learning environment that encourages physical activity, environmental education, and imaginative play. Children care for animals, explore natural materials, and learn about sustainability through hands-on experiences that connect them to the world around them. It’s a space where children learn through doing—safely, freely, and with joy.
Before and After School Care
Our Before and After School Care program provides a safe, welcoming space for Tinonee Primary School children to start and end their day with confidence. Mornings are calm and relaxed, helping children ease into their school day, while afternoons are filled with fun, engaging activities, outdoor play, and opportunities to unwind or catch up with friends.
During school holidays, our Vacation Care program keeps the fun going with exciting, themed days, creative projects, and excursions that spark curiosity and adventure — all in a safe and supportive environment.
What is the difference between long day care and preschool?
Long day care centres provide full-day care for children and operate year-round, typically catering to working families who need extended hours. Preschools usually follow school terms and offer shorter, session-based programs focused on school readiness for children aged 3 to 5. Many long day care centres, like those in the Taree region, integrate preschool programs within their broader curriculum, combining the flexibility of full-day care with structured early education.
How do I know if a childcare centre is right for my child?
Choosing a childcare centre comes down to more than just convenience. Look for a service with qualified, experienced educators, a strong focus on safety and communication, and learning programs tailored to your child’s age and stage. Visiting the centre, observing how children interact, and asking about daily routines and values can give you a good sense of whether the environment suits your child’s personality and needs.
What qualifications should childcare staff have in Australia?
In Australia, childcare educators must meet minimum qualification requirements set by the Australian Children's Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). This includes Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Many centres also employ Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs) with a Bachelor of Education. You can ask about educator qualifications and ratios when touring a centre to ensure your child will receive high-quality care and attention.
